The modifier key
Shortcuts use your platform's main modifier key. On a Mac that is Command. On Windows or Linux that is Control. Throughout this page, when we say the modifier key, use whichever one your keyboard has.
Writing and publishing
The composer is built for people who write a lot, so the most useful shortcuts live there. The pattern most people reach for is the modifier key with Enter to send the post you are working on.

Moving around the app
You can reach the main areas of TweetX, the dashboard, composer, calendar, queue, and analytics, from the sidebar. Tab moves focus through interactive elements in order, and Enter or Space activates the focused control, which is the standard way to navigate any page without a mouse.
- Tab: move focus forward through links and controls.
- Shift + Tab: move focus backward.
- Enter or Space: activate the focused button or link.
- Escape: close an open menu or dialog.
Keyboard access is first class
Every action you can take with the mouse should be reachable with the keyboard. If you rely on the keyboard or a screen reader, the interactive parts of the demo tour and the app respond to standard focus and activation keys, so you can move through setup and daily use without a pointer.
